Staying in a fasted state for long periods of time and only intermittently feasting allows the body time to clear the bowels and focus its energetic output on more productive biological activity. This unleashes a host of physiological benefits and frees up hours of your day for more meaningful activity. One meal a day (OMAD) is best but other intermittent fasting schedules like the 20/4 or 16/8 may still be helpful and more tolerable for some.
